Pages bring Customer Success data to life, enabling you to build rich, interactive data stories to explain patterns in customer behavior, CSM efficiency, portfolio distribution and much more in beautiful, branded, media rich dashboards.
With Pages we have tried to move away from traditional dashboarding to give users total freedom in how they present data and tell stories with it. Think of a Page as a blank slate onto which you can draw with your data, add graphics, embed media, write stories and display data tables - we call each of these concepts 'Elements'.
Pages can exist in multiple places in Planhat. They are central to Customer Intelligence where you will typically build your central reporting but they can also be custom built on Customer profiles and shared in Portals. The UI for building all three is the same, but there are a few small differences:
Pages built in Customer Intelligence will display all data that is relevant, based on the Page or Elements filters.
Pages built on the Company Profile or shared in Portals will show data related to the specific Company.
Some Example Use Cases:
Use a page to create a QBR deck that updates with real time customer data.
Use a page to do an in-depth report on a specific cohort of customers
Use a page to create an Account Plan that is shared across internal teams
Use a page to create a dashboard about customer usage that you share with your customers.
Use a page to create a dashboard showing portfolio distributions across your CS team.
π Note: custom Pages on account profiles are not part of all Planhat agreements.

There are two different styles in Pages providing slightly different ways of engaging with the Page and presenting data.
Canvas
With a Canvas your Page has an "infinite scroll". Think about it like one long piece of paper on which you can draw anything you like, from bar charts to text boxes to embedded videos.
Canvases are great to deep dive into a continuous topic and give you total freedom on where you put your different elements and how you tell your story.
Presentation
Presentations imitate a Powerpoint or GoogleSlide deck, providing landscape oriented 'slides' you can use to break up a story. In full screen mode you can then present just as you would a traditional slide deck.
Presentations are great, as you might expect, for when you need to present the data! An EBR deck or Exec Team / Board deck are great examples of when to use Presentation style Pages.
Page Library
To help get you started we have included a library of Pages covering some major CS use cases in Customer Intelligence. When creating a Page you will see a sidebar by topic displaying different Pages. Upon selecting one from the library you can edit and adjust it as you need.
We really want your help here! If you create a Page that you are particularly proud of you can also submit it to the library. It will be reviewed by Planhat's Product team and if it is seen to be widely applicable (and looks really good) it will be added!
βπ Note: Pages and their widgets (charts) don't support Revenue Reporting (that's what the Revenue Module is for!). This is because FX rates and ARR/MRR switching isn't available in these charts. Consequently, if you try to model revenue data (perhaps using an input like "Renewal ARR"), revenue figures will look off, especially when using the license object.
In the articles below we will explain how to work with Pages and provide a range of best practices when building them.
