Creating Folders for Filters

When you create Filters, it is nice to keep them organized within folders so they are not just in a long list.

Organizing Planhat with folders is a great way to keep things tidy and structured. Some companies like to create folders that are specific to certain teams, managers, or even company sizes. There may be instances where a user wants to create a folder that only they can access, so it does not to disrupt the rest of the team. In this article, it will explain how to create folders, how to share them with specific teams and users, and how to make them private so that only one user can view the folder and its contents.

There are three buttons at the top of each model: Add New Record, Add New Filter, and Add New Folder. To create a new folder, click on the Add New Folder button and give a name to the folder as well as share the folder with yourself OR with other Members

1.Add New Folder

2. Add the Name of the Folder and Share the Folder with Someone. If you have Teams Created in your tenant, the Shared Dropdown will present you with the Teams as an option so you do not have to select each User Independently, and it will scale as your team grows.

๐Ÿšฉ Important Note! -- If a folder is created by a user and shared with "No One", the user that created the folder can still access the folder. However, no public filters can be moved to a private folder that is shared with "No One". Only private filters created by that user can be dragged into that folder.
