There's a few different ways that you can bulk assign account owners and co-owners to accounts in Planhat:

Data Module

  1. Go to the "Data" module > "Companies" page

  2. Select all of the companies that you would like to bulk assign an owner or co-owner too. Typically you would create a filter and then select all of the results from the filter. If you would like to know more about Planhat's filter then check out this article πŸ‘

  3. Once you have selected the accounts, click on the ellipsis icon in the top right corner and select "Set Field" then select "owner"/"co-owner" and select the owner/co-owner you'd like to set. Once you have done that the owner/co-owner will be applied to the selected accounts.

πŸ“Œ Important to note: please make sure you're only selecting the accounts that you want to update because there's no undo button unfortunately.

Excel Import

  1. Go to the "Data" module > "Companies" page

  2. Select the accounts that you would like to filter on (see Step 2 above)

  3. Click on the ellipsis icon in the top right corner and select "Export to Excel"

  4. Populate the "Owner" and "coOwner" columns in the export accordingly and then reimport the same file. If you would like to know more information on how to import data using our Excel import templates then check out this article πŸ‘

API

This is a little bit more technical but you can bulk update your account owners and co-owners using our API connection. If you would like to use this method then please check out our API documentation here πŸ˜ƒ
