Launching "Automations" marks a significant shift towards ensuring that you can further automate your workflows and communicate all customer relevant information towards your external systems in real time and with even greater flexibility.
It is designed to react on changes in data without a delay ensuring that both your Planhat and any other external system are reflecting real-time data and behaviors.
So what does this mean for you?
Now you can truly make the data work for you and create workflows in a much simpler way, bypassing needs for filters, triggers or APIs.
Remember that new contact you created in Planhat today?
Now without any additional manual work from you that one action can trigger a series of different follow up requests. It can:
be communicated immediately to any tool we do not natively integrate with via a simple webhook call and continue doing so as you update it ensuring data stays relevant,
activate a playbook, AND
create a task or a notification for another team member.

There are many scenarios of how automations will help you do exactly what they promise: automate your workflow and data syncs to ensure that your data works for you in a way you need it to.

Automations will replace Triggers over time.
Initially this will be a feature for Admin users only, and will shortly after expand to all users to create personal automations.
Automations currently do not support incoming webhooks, email, notes or tasks object actions.
