KPI widget

You’ll find the KPI widget under the “Text Widgets” menu. Whereas the simple text widget is just a static text box where you can free-type things such as titles or instructions, the KPI widget displays live numerical data you have in Planhat.

Each KPI widget shows a single data value, a snapshot of right now.

Typical examples are:

  • Sum of Company ARR

  • Average Company Health Score

  • Count of Companies

This works particularly well in combination with widget-specific filters. For example, you could make a series of KPI widgets (using copy/paste to save time) for different Company segments - e.g. total ARR of Gold Accounts in one KPI widget, total ARR of Silver Accounts in another KPI widget, and total ARR of Bronze Accounts in another.

🚀 Pro tip: For maximum effect, play around with the design of your KPI widget!

You could layer it on top of a Dougnut widget, for example. Or maybe you want to colour the background of the KPI to distinguish between segments or highlight positive or negative outcomes, eg. red for churn and green for upsells.

Remember that Planhat reports are fantastically interactive! You can click on many widgets, including KPI widgets, to open up a pop-up with more information. This is a fantastic way for viewers of your Pages to drill down into the data if needed, while at the same time allowing the display on the Page itself to be concise and uncluttered.
