In this support article, we will walk you through the process of integrating Google Suite SSO, ensuring a seamless experience for your users.
Important: Before starting to set up SSO with Gsuite it is important that you have the correct administration settings. You must be an admin in Planhat and have a Super Administrator Account in Google Workspaces.

Sett Up Google Suite SSO
Follow the steps below to add Planhat as a custom app in Gsuite
In the Admin console, go to Menu > Apps > Web and mobile apps
Click on "SAML apps"
Click on add "Add custom SAML app"
On the App Details page:
Enter the name of the custom app.
(Optional) Upload an app icon. The app icon appears on the Web and mobile apps list, on the app settings page, and in the app launcher. If you don't upload an icon, an icon is created using the first two letters of the app name.
Click Continue.
On the Planhat SAML app page, click on "Enable" to enable SSO for Planhat
In a separate browser tab, open Planhat and navigate to "Settings" > "Single Sign-On."
Copy the "SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP)" (Called ACS URL in Planhat) values from Planhat
ACS URL, Found in Planhat, should be similar to;
https://api-demo.planhat.com/samlassert/tplprofessional
Copy the "Entity ID" values from Planhat
Entity ID, Found in Planhat, should be similar to;
https://api-demo.planhat.com/samlmetadata/tplprofessional
Return to the Google Suite admin console and paste the copied values into the corresponding fields
Scroll down and click on "Attribute Mapping"
Map the user attributes between Google Suite and Planhat, such as Name, Email, and any other relevant fields
Save the settings
Copy the "Entity ID"
Copy the "SAML 2.0 Login URL"
Copy the "Certificate"
Configure Planhat SSO Settings
In the Planhat admin console, navigate to "Settings" > "Single Sign-On"
Enable the SSO integration by toggling the switch to "On"
Enter the "Entity ID" into the corresponding field in Planhat
Enter the "SAML 2.0 Login URL" (Called SSO URL in Planhat )into the corresponding field in Planhat
Enter the "Certificate" (Called Verification Certificate in Planhat )into the corresponding field in Planhat
Save the settings
Test the Intergration
Log out of Planhat (if you're currently logged in)
Open a new browser tab and navigate to your Planhat login page
Click on the "Sign in with SSO" button or a similar SSO login option
You should be redirected to the Google Suite login page
Enter your Google Suite credentials (if prompted)
Upon successful authentication, you should be redirected back to Planhat and logged in automatically
